Current database contains approx.
33734 individuals.
I am in the process of updating this site, so please bear with me.
I welcome you - our family, our friends, and casual browsers.
I hope that you enjoy meeting our family of days gone by. For reasons of family privacy, I have essentially enforced
a 100 year clause. That is, the names and details of those people born within the past 100 years will not appear in these
pages (if there are any...it is purely accidental, and we would appreciate being informed).
This website is basically a one name study of the Kemp surname.
Do not assume that what I have included is wrong without asking for documentation. As some are coming to find out through
genealogical DNA research these lines are connected.
These pages reflect an ongoing project for us and, as such, I encourage you to check in frequently for "new"
information. I will attempt to keep these pages updated frequently. To date I have acquired links to over 32,419 members of
our extended family...which ensures that we are several generations removed from the primates
As I said before, sourcing each and every entry would be a logistical nightmare in itself. If you would like a particular
source for a person and/or their event please just email me and I will get that data right to you.
I share what I have. I have assembled this information from various documents and mistakes may have been made. If
you notice a mistake, or a deletion that should be added please contact me. However, we all make mistakes, so double-check
the entries also! This is a very good rule to follow anyway when it comes to genealogy. Document everything when you can!
This is the genealogy of Norman De Campo, and his sons Radalphus (Ralf) KEMPE, and Roger (Robert).
Everyone within this family history descends from them. I have come across information linking the Norfolk/Suffolk
Kemp(e)'s to Radalphus through his son William born about 1228 Norfolk, England. Through William descends many of the Norfolk
and Suffolk Kemp descendants down to the Massachusetts and Virginia Kemps in the United States.
Through Radalphus' son John descends the Ollantigh, Kent Kempe's. Also through Radulphus' 5th Great Grandson Richard
Kempe b.1493, through Thomas Kempe and Emeline Chiche, descends many of the Cornwall Kempe's.
I am currently researching Kempes in the Danzig area circa 1400's, and also the Normandie France area circa 1200 and
back. I am also working forward on many lines, mainly to do with Massachusetts, Virginia and others in the United States.
